Harry Isaman finally retires from Herb Jellander’s “JV” BBQ Team

Recently, a member of Herb Jellander’s “JV” BBQ team, Harry Isaman, decided to retire his contribution to the team and simply enjoy the aroma of the BBQ rather than help create it.  The members of Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge #2477 thank Harry for his long and distinguished contribution to a very important fundraising component of our lodge.  Below, Harry is pictured with the BBQ team members with whom he worked for so long.  Thanks Harry.

CHEA Contributors Recognized at Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge #2477

The first meeting of every month is held in honor of the “Purple Pig”, which is the mascot of our California-Hawaii Elks Association’s Major Project.  On Wednesday February 4th members were honored for their generous contribution efforts to the “Purple Pig”.  Below is a picture of the recipients of certificates for this month.  L-R they are Pam Price, Bill Sternberg, Diane Scott, Pati Herrod and Daryl Kopacz.  Thank you for you dedication to the CHEA Major Project.  Our children need your support and the support of every Elk.

Police and Firefighter Fighter Appreciation Night at Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge

This post comes a bit late.  On February 6th the members of Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge #2477 honored law enforcement and fire fighters from the two jurisdictions within their membership area.
After selection by their respective Captains/Chiefs, Sheriff’s Deputies and Fire Fighters from both Ventura and Los Angeles Counties were recognized for outstanding performance.  Their family and friends enjoyed a delicious dinner as well as a celebration of their accomplishments.  The pictures below highlight the event.
