On May 16, 2009 at the State Convention held in Ontario CA the California-Hawaii Elks Association raised more than $2,000,000 for the CHEA Elks Major Project, Inc aid to handicapped Children.

The first week in May is Elks Grand Lodge Youth Appreciation Week. Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge #2477 held its Youth Appreciation honoring Scholarship Winners, Girl Scout Gold Recipients, Eagle Scout honorees and Americansm Essay Winners.
Now in its 53rd year, Conejo Valley Days (CVD) is an annual celebration of our valley’s rich heritage and volunteer spirit. It is the largest, all-volunteer festival on the west coast, which is an astounding demonstration of the amazing volunteers that make up our community.
